Did you know that over 1.5 BILLION people do not have access to clean, safe water? In some areas in Africa, women spend approximately 16 hours a week just collecting the water they will drink and use, only to find out that it’s not even safe. Statistics say that every 15 seconds, another child will die from a water-born disease. By this time tomorrow, another 2,500 children will die.
Sometimes I overlook the small things in life that I take for granted. I don’t think about how lucky I am just to have little things like an endless supply of clean water.
Remember to be grateful everyday for how fortunate you are.
